Accessing your Fast&Secure Email

Accessing your Fast&Secure Email

By partnering with Microsoft as a Cloud Solution Provider(CSP), GlobalCerts is able to offer our SMB customers enterprise class email hosting through Microsoft Office 365. Below you will find the settings needed to access your mailbox through your browser or using Microsoft Outlook on your computer or mobile device.

Web Access (easiest and most secure)

Simply visit https://outlook.office.com/ and login with your email address and password. This will allow you to access Outlook on the web. This method is the most secure because your device does not store any of your email locally, and your connection is secured via HTTPS (TLS encryption) at all times.

Microsoft Outlook App

If you would prefer to use a desktop app to access your email account, you may use Microsoft Outlook. You may be able to configure your new account automatically simply by entering your Fast&Secure email address. Please follow these instructions for either desktop or mobile: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Outlook-email-setup-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b

Note: Office 365 Business Essentials does NOT include the desktop versions of the Office suite, so you will need to use Outlook on the Web to access your emails via desktops/laptops. However, it DOES include Office Mobile apps, so that you may access your emails from your Apple or Android device via Microsoft Outlook.

IMAP

We have discontinued support for legacy authentication methods. You may no longer set up your mail client to connect to your Fast&Secure mailbox via IMAP/s.
Please see this information from Microsoft about the phasing out of legacy protocols: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/conditional-access/block-legacy-authentication

Device Security

Please be aware that when using Microsoft Outlook to access your email account, your device will download copies of your inbox, sent mail, drafts, etc. These files will contain plain-text copies of your sent and received emails. Therefore, it is extremely important to maintain strict access controls and security on all devices utilizing Outlook to access your Fast&Secure email account. GlobalCerts recommends the following measures as a minimum:
  1. Use a strong password or PIN code to access all devices, especially laptops and smart phones.
  2. Utilize the built-in device encryption features on Android and iOS devices. The latest versions of both are now encrypted by default as long as you set a password or PIN.
  3. If using the Outlook app on your desktop or laptop, utilize a disk encryption software to protect all data-at-rest. GlobalCerts recommends BitLocker, which is built-in to Windows 10 Pro but must be enabled.
